Success @ JJ's Once Again
20 Nov 2005, Posted by Rick.
As always, JJ's Pub was rocking as we set the stage alive in two back to back solid performances. With Tom covering sound for us we enveloped the crowd and managed to perform three originals, the tunes were well recieved and it was good to have some input on our own music. A re-cap of the entire weekend can be found HERE.

On a sad note, we failed to find a suitable Seedgirl for this weekend so in fine fashion a substitute had to be found. We give you SeedBunny, this extreme sex machine is ready for action sporting a monster strap on ready at a moments notice. Our next show is at the Havana Club on December 10th.

JJ's To Be Jammed!
12 Nov 2005, Posted by Rick.
Were hitting JJ's this weekend, (Nov 18th & 19th) and the crowd is expected to be super large. I've heard from the grapevine that the club will be at capacity early in the evening so if you plan on coming to the show get there early if you want a seat, if not you'll be standing/staggering. The band has added some new material to the sets and will be performing three originals as well.

December 10th brings the Seed to the new Havana Club in downtown Edmonton, it used to be old Boiler Room 10220 - 103 St. The club has a good atmosphere and boasts awesome tequila and cocktails. Hope you can make it out for the show. We are going into the studio after this show to record the first three tunes for the CD, "Left Behind", "Reality" and "Put It On Me". Once there finished, I'll put them on the website for download. Keep it real and see you at the shows.

UPCOMING SHOWS!

Hey Seeders, the band is booked to play JJ's Pub on November 18th & 19th, if you want to hear some new material you'll have to check out this show, weve added some new covers from Rush, Matt Good and Green Day not to mention our originals. Were excited about playing live again since our recent writing hiatis and would like some feedback from our freinds and fans. We've managed to pull together six songs which seem to have solid power, flow and personal meaning, pre-production should begin in November and recording in December. There's no set date on completion or a CD release but we will keep you informed.

There's a chance the band may play The Blind Pig for New Years, were waiting for confirmation from the club. No matter where we play it will be a rockin party ringing in 2006.

October 8th is a private party, we've invited Right In The Eye and some other musicians so it should be a wicked night of music from all era's. Not to mention the plethora amounts of tequila being splashed around. If you want to go, email anyone from the band for more details.

WHATS UP?

Since our appearance at The Backstage in June, the goal has been to write some new material for the upcoming CD, at this point the process is in full swing and we've put together three more originals to bring us to four. Were 50% there, its interesting to hear how the seed sound is transforming thru the writing process and we look forward to the studio sometime in 06'. Were now accepting club dates for the fall as well so if your interested or want to book the band give me a call at 718-9983.

A DIFFERENT KINDA SHOW..

The band had high hopes for a packed house but unfortunatley our Backstage gig was a little disappointing. With over 200 tickets handed out to freinds and military rockers from the Edmonton Garrison only a handfull managed to show up. Some soldiers from the garrison were put on full alert in order to re-act to the possibility of assisting the Calgary area with flood relief so most of the army people were'nt allowed to drink which effected attendance, why go to a club if you can't drink, hrm pop? NO! We did however have some die-hard seed fans show up and we want to thank you for making the effort, it was still a good time and we had a chance to experiment with a few new tunes and different arrangments so not all was lost. We want to thank Micheal, Denton, Lynn and Paul for covering sound and all the staff at The Backstage and everyone who showed up to support us.

The band is on a hiatis for the next few months to concentrate on our own music and write some new tunes in the lair. We'll be hitting the studio in early August to lay down some tracks for the website, keep checking back for more updates. Some outdoor shows are in the works for the summer but we are keeping the calender open for now. Cheers!
