KINGS KNIGHT ROCKS!

Last night was our showcase gig at The Kings Knight Pub in Edmonton and everything went better than expected. We played two 1 hour sets with Rockin Karaoke in between. We were well recieved and heard lots of good comments and praise, we look forward to returning sometime in the fall in regular rotation. We want to thank Kevin for giving us the chance, Dougie the soundman, Jay the Dj and all the staff at The Kings Knight Pub. Dont forget to check out the new Seedgirl from the show, Jeanie. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

UPCOMING SHOWS!

I want to remind everyone that we have 2 shows next week, the first is at The Kings Knight Pub on June 16th, this is our showcase show which basically means were playing for a spot in regular rotation. We need all the support the Seeders can muster for this one, come out and enjoy cheap drinks. The first 100 PEOPLE thru the door recieve a wristband for 50 cent highballs and $1.50 beer, can you believe it. Drink for super cheap all night long. Make sure you arrive early for your wristband.

The Backstage Tap & Grill welcomes BADSEED back thru its doors on June 17th, this is gonna be a killer show and the guys are pumped up for it. I have 200 tickets available to hand out so in order to beat the $6.00 cover and lineup's, get in touch with someone from the band who can hook you up with some TICKETS! As always, we will be looking for a new Seedgirl for both shows, so ladies, dont forget to sport your best thong for the evening.

BACK ON TRACK!

Our 2 month break has come to an end and the amps will be fired up once again. Were going to be doing some refresher training over the next couple of weeks to prepare for two very important dates on the show schedule. June 16th we hit The Kings Knight Pub for the first time and June 17th we head back to The Backstage Tap & Grill to rock it up and do some stage running, both shows are expected to draw wicked crowds and were looking forward to getting back into the grind.

Once the shows are behind us, the band will be concentrating on completing more of our own material. Our first original "Left Behind" has had an excellent response, the music will only get better. Keep checking the site as the new show dates start to pour in and on another note, the website is approaching 5000 visitors, I want to thank everyone for the support throughout our first year, without you the Seed is nothing.

A SHORT BREAK...

As most of you are aware, I have to head to New Brunswick for seven weeks to take another military course, while I'm away the band will be adding some new tunes to the sets as well as writing more of our own material. Ive done some minor changes to site adding flash to spice it up a bit so I hope you like it, stare at the alien baby in the header for a few seconds. Ive also added a little flash movie called "A Year In Review", its available for download HERE. Just save it to your computer and launch it.

Our next show is planned for June 16th at the Kings Knight Pub and were going to need everyone's support for this one. Its a showcase "gig" so hopefully all will go well and the bar will add us to the normal rotation this fall. Were also booked into The Lamplighter on August 13th at the Edmonton Garrison full production and lights provided by Right In The Eye Productions, this show will full bore with video and audio being recorded for the website. Tickets for this event will go on sale in June. Drinks are cheap and the stage at The Lamplighter is one of the largest in the city. Be there!

Saturday as always turned out to be a better night, beers, shooters and other mixed cocktails seemed to flow well and I think the bar did well in sales which is always good for the band. We sounded great in the club and played well overall, we ended up doing a DOUBLE ENCORE which is a first for us. Everyone enjoyed the original which we played very tight.

The bar asked us to play a patio opener this summer so hopefully once the renovations are complete we can head back to The Blind Pig. I want to thank Carmen and Mark for handling sound, Pete the bartender, Jen and all the waitresses for the wicked service, Nicole, Scooter, Liz, Dion, Doyle, Kate, Jeff, Kelly, Erica, my Mom, Rita & Colin, Sharon the B-day girl, Kelly & Debbie, Barry, Ping, Andy at the bar, Steve, Brian, Laurie, Moe, Jesse and Karen, and everyone else I failed to mention. Thank you very much for coming, hope you all had a blast. Our next show will be in June at The Kings Knight Pub.
