THIS WEEKEND AT THE PIG!
15 Mar 2005, Posted by Rick.
I would like to invite all our supporters and friends to come on down to The Blind Pig Pub this weekend, March 18th & 19th for a few nights of tunes and beverages. The Blind Pig is located at the bottom of the hill as you come into downtown St.Albert, it used to be a Dairy Queen believe it or not and has transformed into a personal bar with a good menu. Just look for the club on the left side of St.Albert Trail, our name will be on the marquee. We kick off the show at 9:30 pm and there is no cover charge for this event. Hope to see you there!

THE SEED EXPERIENCE!
13 Mar 2005, Posted by Rick.
The Backstage Tap & Grill was a total success last night, the band came out rockin and put on our best show ever. The stage, lighting and drum riser gave us plenty of room to move around and the guys in the band took full advantage of it, running from side to side and lining up for the Detroit solo with Glen on the drum riser. The stage is very comfortable and the sound from the in house system is amazing not to mention the club itself, which boasts excellent service, food and has a professional atmosphere.

The band opened up the night with "Further Again" from Staggered Crossing and continued to pick up the pace as the night rocked on. Our original went over really well, it was the first time we actually played "Left Behind" live and we nailed it. We heard nothing but good comments from everyone in the audience, the owners (Gerald & Dave) and bar manager (Michael). I would have to say there were about 250 who turned out to witness the Badseed experience, with "Pornstars" on special the shooters were going down smooth all night long and I was told the club did well in sales which is "Most Excellent".

BACKSTAGE - MARCH 12th!!!
28 Feb 2005, Posted by Rick.
Our audition at The Backstage Tap & Grill went according as planned, we opened with "Unsound", followed by "Sanctuary", "Be My Girl", "Blow At High Dough" and then finishing with "Alive" by Pearl Jam. Everyone we talked to after our small set seemed to enjoy the tunes and said we sounded good, I even heard one person say "You guys were wonderful". We'll, it paid off, we have the MARCH 12th show and our looking forward to the new club and the awesome huge stage/sound. There is a $4.00 cover for this show. I want to thank Micheal for giving us the chance and also let the waitresses know to have plenty of lemon ready for our bands tequila shots.

We need your support on this one, so if you can make it out to any show this month. Come see us at The Backstage on March 12th.

QUICK UPDATE!
24 Feb 2005, Posted by Rick.
The band is heading to The Backstage this Saturday night for an audition which should hopefully give us a March 12th headlining date in the club. The Backstage is located on 127th ST - 137th Ave and has awesome food and atmosphere, the bar usually hosts primarily blues and classic rock bands but would like to switch it up with some rock once in a while. Thats where we come in, if you can make it out on Saturday we would love to see yah, were going on around 8:30 or 9:00.

Kings Knight Welcomes The Seed!
08 Feb 2005, Posted by Rick.
I've just updated the showdates and as it stands right now BADSEED will be playing the Kings Knight Pub (9221 - 34 Ave) on June 16th. This is great news for the band and were super pumped. The show kicks off around 10 pm and the rock won't stop until closing. Hope everyone can check out the show, I'll keep you posted as we draw closer to the date. I want to thank Kevin at the Kings Knight for giving us the chance to prove ourselves.

Over the next 4 weeks "off" the band will be concentrating on adding more original material to the sets, "Left Behind" is grinding along and beginning to sound great as well as "Turn Away", our acoustic driven piece, delivers a raw melodic vocal arrangment. We had some video taken from our last show at JJ's and will hopefully post it on the site soon. Thanks to everyone again who came out to show their support.
